Our Touch Panel Division, which launched its business in 2008, has maintained its technology leadership and dominant market share since its full-scale business development by developing touch sensors for smartphones and tablet PCs in 2009. It is currently expanding the applications including automotive electronics, home appliances, laptop PCs and industrial applications. In addition, based on its accumulated technology, we are developing and mass producing next-generation flexible-touch and force-touch products that can be applied to OLED displays where the market is growing rapidly. And the division is expected to continue to grow by developing fingerprint sensors that can be applied extensively to areas requiring certification and security, such as security, finance, and identification.

Our Sapphire Division, which initiated its business by developing 2-inch wafers for LED substrates in 2002, started supplying products to domestic and overseas major customers in 2006 in order to meet the growing demand in the LED market. In 2014, the division has built a differentiated ingot line and possesses the world leading technology, cost and quality competitiveness. The sapphire wafer market is expected to grow steadily in the future as sapphire wafers are applied not only to LEDs for mobile devices, LED TVs and lighting devices, but also to various applications such as cover glasses, wearable glasses and micro LEDs in mobile products.
