Iljin Display is a company specializing in the production and sales of "touch panel and other input devices" and "sapphire wafers", a key component of LEDs.
By adopting the most updated technology, our Touch Panel Division has earned a competitive edge in sensor manufacturing and high quality assurance capabilities. The division supplies touch panels for smartphones and tablet PCs to global customers and has recently expanded into household appliances, laptop PCs, automotive electronics, gameing industry and industrial applications. We are also supplying force touch solutions to the continuously growing OLED market. We have also developed a thin/light touch solutions that can accommodate to the next generation OLED / flexible display market and are preparing to supply our new solutions to our major local/oversea customers. And we have developed a fingerprint sensor that can be applied to areas requiring authentication and security and are looking for further growth.
The Sapphire Division, which manufactures sapphire substrates, LED core material, possesses the world-class technology and cost competitiveness based on its competitive ingot line. Currently supplies them to domestic and overseas major LED clients. The demand for sapphire substrates is expected to expand into mobile devices, LED TVs, automotive industry and lighting devices, as well as micro LEDs, where the market is expected to grow massiveness going forward. The Sapphire Division is expected to continue to grow as applications such as cover glasses for smart watches.
